Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, browsing, or otherwise using Hobbymaxing (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 years of age or older to use Hobbymaxing. When you first use the Service, you will be asked to confirm your age. If we become aware that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will suspend and delete that account.
3. Accounts
An anonymous account is created automatically when you first open the app. You may choose to add an email and password to save your account for use on other devices. You agree to maintain only one account and to provide accurate information.
4. The Service
Hobbymaxing lets you discover, share, and discuss hobbies, and connect with people who share your interests, including through following hobbies, posting updates, adding resources, messaging, curated discovery views (popular, trending, and personalized recommendations based on categories you follow), and optional location-based nearby-user matching.
4A. Advertising
Hobbymaxing may display advertising through Google AdMob to help support the free operation of the Service. Ads are currently shown as non-personalized, meaning they are not selected based on your individual activity within the Service. If this changes in the future, we will update these Terms and our Privacy Policy first, and provide an opt-out where required by law.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Hobbymaxing a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your content solely to operate the Service. You are responsible for your content and must have the right to post it.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to post illegal, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit content; not to exploit or endanger a minor in any way; not to impersonate others; not to harass or abuse other users; and not to attempt to circumvent the Service's technical protections. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to NCMEC as required by law.
7. Reporting and Moderation
You may report hobbies, resources, posts, comments, and users that violate these Terms. We review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion.
8. Blocking
You may block or unblock another user at any time.
9. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time. Your personal profile information is deleted. Hobbies, resources, and posts you contributed remain on the Service but are no longer attributed to you. Messages remain visible to other participants in your conversations.
10. Location Information
Sharing your city is optional and is used only to show nearby people who share a hobby you follow. We do not collect precise or real-time location.
11. Intellectual Property
Hobbymaxing's name, logo, and software are owned by Greenline Software LLC.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion for violations of these Terms.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." We do not vet, endorse, or guarantee the identity, intentions, or conduct of any user. You are solely responsible for your own safety in interactions with other users.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Greenline Software LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Greenline Software LLC from claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.
